Vintage Race Works combines craftsmanship and passion with the beautiful, vintage design of American muscle.
After building several vintage Mustangs, I realized the need for affordable rear disc brake conversion kits that used over-the-counter parts. Featuring a simple, single-piston design with an integrated parking brake mechanism, the plentiful 94-04 Mustang and Mustang Cobra rear disc setup was the obvious rear disc brake system. My kits bolt directly to 8" and small-bearing 9" axle housings, do not require the removal of the axle bearing, and do not change the rear track width. Adding the safety and reliability of modern disc brakes to your vintage Mustang has never been easier!
Specializing in restoration and modification of vintage Mustangs, I have been incepted with a new obsession - racing a vintage Mustang on closed Mexican highways for over 1,000 miles against some of the toughest competitors in the world. The competition cars must be full, purpose-built, race cars that can withstand whatever the Mexican countryside can throw at them over a course of several of the toughest days that even most modern cars would not be able to survive.
The car I have chosen for this adventure is a 1967 Ford Mustang coupe that originally started life as a simple C-code, 200 horsepower, 3 speed automatic commuter. The end result will be a 7,500 RPM 289 cid, 4-speed replica of the Trans Am Mustangs that dominated the 1967 Trans-Am championship headed up by Shelby American.
